"Waiting for the Storm" By Kelli Miller

Wow I have been for a little over a month now. Just kind of hit a wall. For some reason I wasn't motivated to paint, then when I tried to paint I felt like I had never painted before in my life. It just became a vicious cycle. So I took the past two weeks off and enjoyed life with my youngest daughter who came home from Florida for a visit. This is a painting I did in April. It is an 11x14. $250.

"Tools" By Kelli Miller

6x6 oil

Last week we didn't have internet at the studio. Since I've been painting dogs off of the web, I didn't have anything to paint. I also didn't have anything in the studio to set up as a still life. So, here you go. Tools of the trade. I kinda like it!

"Cockapoo Cutie" By Kelli Miller

10x10

No, you are not seeing double. I subscribe to my own blog. That way I see what you all see. When I got the last post I was not happy with the painting. So I went back and reworked the background. I like it a lot better now. It's the same painting only new and improved :)

It's been a while since I've posted a painting. I've been traveling quite a bit, but that's now excuse. Truthfully, I just lost my creative mojo. But now I'm back feeling refreshed and ready to paint like crazy!!

I don't know this cute pooch, but I would take him home in a heartbeat!!

"Ladies...The Final Rose" By Kelli Miller

Ok, I admit it...I watch the Bachelor. And this season I've coerced my husband into watching it with me! Sorry about the dark shadow on the top of the painting, it's the shadow from the frame.

"Duchess" By Kelli Miller

This is Duchess. She was my sisters cat. When she passed away we inherited her. It took her about 5 years to warm up to the whole family, but she immediately bonded with my daughter Anna. When Anna went to college Duchess became my little girl. Last August Anna took her to live with her in Orlando. She is much happier now that she lives in a dog free home!

"Tucker...Sorta" By Kelli Miller SOLD

The last painting I posted was the backside of Tucker. This is the front view of a Yorkie puppy...only it's not Tucker. I didn't have one of him when he was a baby so I went online. My daughter looked at it and immediately knew it wasn't him! Good eye Anna!

"Jack" By Kelli Miller

This is Jack. He is my 5 year old going on 6 month old lab. If I were to tell you all of his antics I would have a blog that rivals Marley and Me. Actually... Jack makes Marley look like an angel. But I love him anyway:) this painting is not for sale. However, some days I want to give Jack away!! lol

Funny story about this painting. I started it 41/2 years ago. It was going so well that I became frozen with fear that I would screw it up. After I did the painting of Tucker, I thought that it just wasn't fair to Jack so I dug this out and finished it! Suddenly I love painting dogs!!!

"Winter Solitude" By Kelli Miller

6x6 oil on canvas panel

It's strange here in Colorado. The ski resorts aren't fully open due to lack of snow. Meanwhile, here in Denver, we have so much snow it's crazy!I Nearly high centered my Bug in my alley! This little tree is in my neighbor's yard. I did it at night...from my window:)

"Baby Tucker" By Kelli Miller

6x6 oil

This is my precious Yorkie, Tucker. He was about four months old in this painting. Hard to believe he is almost six years old now. When he was a puppy he was black and tan, now he is silver and tan. Coincidentally it was six years ago that I started painting...does this make him my muse??

"Flying Pig" By Kelli Miller

The statue I used for this painting is actually almost black. I thought that was a little boring so I changed it:)
